10. Men who DM sisters with flirtatious comments. E.g: “You are beautiful”.
May Allah forgive them for not lowering their gaze?
9. People who say ‘I know what the Qur'an says, but you too think about it'.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter.1 Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray.”
Qur’an 33: 36
8. Men who engage in Zina and say ‘After all, I can marry more than one wife'.
Narrated 'Ubadah bin As-Samit:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Take from me. For Allah has a way made for them : For the married person who commits adultery with a married person is one hundred lashes, then stoning... 1"
7. People who ‘don’t have time’ to learn about their Deen. (Allah sees you. In fact, we all see you scrolling mindlessly on Instagram and liking haram content). A note of encouragement.
The prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever follows a path to seek knowledge, Allah will make the path to Jannah (Paradise) easy for them.” [Sahih Muslim 2699; Sunan Tirmidhi 2945]
6. Women who go into polygyny with the intention to ‘fight and establish their own position'.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for a woman to demand her sister’s divorce so that she may take her place and get married; she cannot have more than what is decreed for her.”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5144; Muslim, 1413).
5. People who say ‘Hadith is not important’.
Allah says in the Qur'an:
“He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad), has indeed obeyed Allah.”
[al-Nisa 4:80 – interpretation of the meaning] 2
4. People who say ‘Don’t judge me’. Well, Allah will judge you and then, you would wish you had accepted our judgements and did something about it.
3. People who say women should not have jobs or form friendships but they should just have children and focus on their husbands only. Show me one notable Sahabiyyah who did not do more than just getting married and having kids. In fact, Khadijah R.A was the only wife of the prophet who had kids and even she had a business.
2. People who weaponise the Qur’an and Sunnah or change the interpretation to fulfil their own desires. ( Eeewww)
1. Muslims who judge or ostracise other Muslims for trying their best to be pious.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment” [al-Maa'idah 5:2]
Narrated 'Ubadah bin As-Samit:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Take from me. For Allah has a way made for them : For the married person who commits adultery with a married person is one hundred lashes, then stoning. And for the virgin who commits adultery with a virgin is one hundred lashes and banishment for a year."
