Today, let's pretend I'm an archeologist. Let's say I'm heralding doom and telling you that there were better civilisations than us in the past and they sunk 6ft and sometimes 400ft below ground level, buried. Forever.
I don't have much to say except to scream into my symbolic megaphone and tell you that ‘There is nothing new about you but you are so so so special’.
Do you feel tired sometimes? Like the words that can explain how you feel do not exist. Do you feel like something is dragging you down beneath sea-level and you are gasping for air but you still have to carry on daily activities as if nothing is wrong?
Well, I am saying that you are not the first and if you would embrace this and accept this, then maybe you would better understand the DU'A of prophet Musa under the tree when he said:
Rabbi ‘inni limaa ‘anzalta ‘ilayya min khairin-faqeer
O my Lord! I am indeed needy of whatever good You may send to me
[Surah Qassas; 28:24]
Maybe if you remembered the exact scene when the prophet sallalahu alayhi wa salaam was 1 kicked out of at Taif and said this DU'A.
To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness, lack of support and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful! You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy You have given power over me? As long as you are not displeased with me, I do not care what I face. I would, however, be much happier with Your mercy. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the life to come are put in their right course against incurring your wrath or being the subject of your anger. To You I submit, until I earn Your pleasure. Everything is powerless without your support.
Tough times have hit the best of humanity and the best weapon to combat it, based on their experiences, is patience.
Your feelings are valid.
Your feelings are true.
However, I'm here to tell you that the promises of Allah are even truer.
“Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear.”
QUR'AN2VS153
“For indeed with hardship comes ease. Indeed with hardship, will be ease”
Qur’an 94 vs 5&6
So, hold fast.
Wait a little longer, every second, every minute. Push … for the next life is better than this one.
Love you liLLAHI

Imaam Ahmad reported from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood, may Allaah be pleased with him: "The Messenger of Allaah (Peace & Blessings of Allaah be upon Him) said: "There is no slave who, when he is stricken by anxiety and sorrow, says ‘O Allaah, I am Your slave and the son of Your male slave and female slave. My forelock is in Your hand (i.e., You have complete mastery over me), Your command over me is forever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety’ - but Allaah will remove his sorrow and replace his grief with joy." The people said: "O Messenger of Allaah, we should learn these words." He said: "The one hears them should learn them."
